Nikki Morland
Nikki Morland is a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP Accredited), with extensive experience working with children and adolescents struggling with their mental health, including young people who have neurodevelopmental conditions (e.g. autism and ADHD). Nikki is skilled at creating a safe, supportive and engaging therapeutic environment where young people feel comfortable expressing their experiences and challenges.
Nikki has worked within NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) since 2012, and is currently employed as a Clinical Team Lead for a busy East London CAMHS Service. Nikki’s experience working in NHS mental health services means she is comfortable supporting both complex and simpler mental health difficulties.
Nikki works collaboratively with families to develop a shared understanding of a child’s needs, helping parents and carers to feel they have the information they need to make an informed decision about their child’s care and chosen therapeutic modality. She aims to make sure the parents and the young people have the strategies they need to thrive.
Nikki is able to offer a range of evidence based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Child Accelerated Trauma Technique (CATT), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Personalised Individual Parenting Technique (PIPT). Nikki is also a HCPC-registered Arts Psychotherapist, an approach which utilises art-making and play to support children to process their experiences and promote resilience. She will sometimes incorporate this into her work if it feels like it will be helpful for the young person.
Nikki offers face to face therapy in our Kings Cross clinic, but is also available for online consultations where needed.
