Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) specialising in Autism, Neurodevelopmental conditions, children and young people
Nicola Spray is a Health and Care Professions Council registered, Highly Specialist, Speech and Language Therapist. She works with children and young people with a variety of speech, language and communication needs and her area of specialism is autism and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Nicola has worked for over 11 years at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS trust in South London. Here she worked across a variety of clinic and education settings inclusive of Autism Resource Bases and special primary and secondary schools for those with autism and social, emotional and mental health needs. She led on the development of programmes, working closely with education and other health professionals and families, to support children's progress in their homes and school settings. She also has experience of leading a team of therapists.
Nicola has recently started a new role in the NHS as Education Lead across North Hertfordshire. She continues to deliver specialist autism assessments in both the NHS and independent practice. She prides herself in keeping up to date with the latest research and really enjoys supporting families to the best of her ability to help the children and young people thrive with their communication.
When she is not working, Nicola enjoys travelling as much as possible. She enjoys trying to keep fit but not as much as baking and eating cakes.
