Maria Totolici
Maria is a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Psychologist with a strong commitment to supporting young people and their families through life’s challenges. Maria is originally from Romania and grew up in New Zealand, where she earned her Clinical Psychology degree and completed a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology at the University of Otago.
Maria has provided psychological support across Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Youth Forensics services, gaining experience in supporting young people with complex mental health needs. In 2024, she relocated to London, where she now divides her professional time between an NHS Mental Health Crisis Team and Harwood Child Psychology.


Maria works with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and trauma. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process designed to foster meaningful change and tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs. Sessions focus on setting achievable goals, exploring challenges, and building strategies that promote emotional well-being, all while ensuring that clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Maria specializes in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, Maria has experience in conducting autism, ADHD, and cognitive assessments.
Whether working through specific difficulties or seeking general mental health support, Maria is committed to helping young people and their families to develop the tools they need to move forward with confidence.
Maria is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
