Mai Le

Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) specialising in Autism, children, young people and adults

Mai Le is a Speech and Language Therapist who specialises in autism. She has over 20 years of experience working across both public and private settings providing speech and language services and autism assessments.

Most recently, Mai has devoted most of her time to autism assessments. She works as a neurodevelopmental specialist, assessing people across the lifespan. Mai has the knowledge and experience to assess children as young as three years old, but is also able to assess people beyond retirement age. She believes that diagnosis is a small but pivotal part of the journey for the person and their family. It can be the catalyst to access much needed services and support but more importantly, it can be a positive shift in how the person and others around them understand their differences.

Mai is well qualified and experienced in working with children and young people with a range of needs. She is sensitive to the fact that coming into a clinic can be challenging for some and is committed to ensuring all children and young people feel at ease whether they may be anxious, reluctant, pre-verbal or selectively mute.
