Jack Mckellar
Dr Jack McKellar is a clinical psychologist, specialising in working with children, families and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions, including Autism, ADHD, specific learning difficulties, and intellectual disabilities. Jack acts as a lead clinician for neurodevelopmental assessments at Harwood Child Psychology.
Jack has many years of experience working in the NHS across inpatient, community, school and forensic services. Alongside his work with Harwood Child Psychology, Jack currently works within an NHS learning disability service. His work includes developing a comprehensive understanding of a person’s strengths and difficulties, often supported by autism, ADHD and learning assessments. He has expertise in working alongside the person’s network, supporting families, carers and staff teams to make adaptations to the person’s environment and interactions to help them to thrive.
Jack is very happy to work with complex cases that require a really specialist approach to work out what is going on.


Jack completed his doctoral training at the University of East London and has completed further training in systemic approaches at the Institute of Family Therapy and cognitive behavioural approaches at the University of Oxford. He is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Jack has published peer reviewed research on how clinicians and services can better meet the needs of those from minoritised backgrounds.
