Cristina Sperindei is a Senior Clinical Psychologist who specialises in Neurodevelopmental Disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorders - ASD, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder- ADHD, Learning Difficulties- LD, Intellectual Disability – ID, Oppositional and Defiant Disorder - ODD, Conduct Disorder) and Mental Health in children and young people.
After qualifying in Italy as a Clinical Psychologist and gaining experience in a Paediatric hospital, Cristina relocated to London and obtained the recognition of her title with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Since then, she has worked for the NHS in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), supervising other professionals and completing complex neurodevelopmental assessments and treatment (mainly Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychoeducation and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)) along with conducting clinical research and service quality improvement projects.
During these years Cristina developed an interest in improving ADHD assessments, implementing neuropsychological testing to the usual diagnostic process and further investigating ADHD features and differential diagnosis. Cristina also has extensive clinical experience in working with children with a diagnosis of ASD and comorbid anxiety and depression. Cristina believes in always involving the family to ensure that the treatment of the young people she works with is effective in the long term.
